Technology Opportunity Project
The Puget Sound Center received a two-year EDI-Special Project Grant
from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Technology
Opportunity Project provided information and communication technology
training to low-income adults and youth in the greater Seattle and Snohomish
County region. A major focus of the project was partnering with other job
training initiatives and computer literacy efforts to bring technology
to low-income individuals and communities to help bridge the digital divide.
Training Strategies:
Several service strategies have been developed through this project.

| Description | Participants taught how to take online classes; provided computers for length of classes. If successful in achieving learning objective, participants keep the computers. |
