    Webcast Survey
Beginning in Fall 2007, the NGCP will offer webcasts which focus on issues related to girls and informal science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning. In order to help us design the webcasts to match your areas of interest and expertise, we ask you to please fill out a short survey. You can find the survey here: NGCP Webcast Survey

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Bethany Carlson, [email protected].

Request For Proposals For New NGCP Regional Collaboratives
The NGCP is continuing to expand services across the United States and Puerto Rico. We are now accepting proposals from organizations or consortiums of organizations that are interested in hosting collaborative activities. The ideal lead organization is one that is already engaged in work relating to girls in STEM. The American Association of University Women (AAUW) regions are used to organize support for collaboratives. For more information about becoming a local collaborative site, contact Karen Peterson, [email protected].

    SouthCentral Girls Collaborative (SCGCP)
The SCGCP had a great event in Austin sharing stories, success and making connections. As the final event for the SouthCentral Girls Collaborative we were fortunate enough to have Steve Wolf with Science in the Movies keynote lunch and give us a sizzling performance. His explosive techniques were stimulating and exciting for participants. We hosted men and women from around Texas and Louisiana as we reviewed and shared. The University of Texas Women in Engineering Program was our host for the day and are making plans to partner with the National Girls Collaborative to expand and keep the "Texas Girls Collaborative" moving forward.

    DragonflyTV SciGirls
Empowering science centers across the nation to deliver hands-on science encouragement and career guidance to girls in their communities.

DragonflyTV SciGirls is a national outreach program, supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation's Program for Gender Equity. Now in its third year, SciGirls energizes after-school science programs for girls with DragonflyTV videos featuring girls doing authentic inquiry, accompanied by an educator's guide full of exciting science activities. In 2007, DragonflyTV selected ten science centers nationwide to receive funding as well as SciGirls resources including: live-action videos; extensive activity guides for informal science educators; and an intensive training program for staff educators on how to get the most out of the inquiry-based activities and materials.

Recently, DragonflyTV received a planning grant from the NSF to develop SciGirls as a national television series. Stay tuned for more SciGirls adventures!

    NGCP AWE AAUW logo

American Association of University Women (AAUW) members across the country are serving as Regional Liaisons for the National Girls Collaborative Project. These Regional Liaisons help the people involved in the NGCP to make connections - to one another, to resources on gender equity, and to AAUW.

AWE is the Assessing Women and Men in Engineering Project, which provides exportable assessment instruments, literature resources, and methodologies for Women in Engineering and similar programs. AWE is developing resources for use by K-12 STEM programs as part of NGCP services.
