    Please mark your calendars to join us for this opportunity to network with other girl-serving organizations in your area, participate in a "hands on" STEM activity, learn about opportunities to collaborate, share resources and engage in thoughtful discussions with others who serve girls.

    NATIONAL GIRLS COLLABORATIVE PROJECT

    Request for Proposals for New NGCP Regional Collaboratives The NGCP is continuing to expand it's reach across the United States and Puerto Rico and is accepting proposals from organizations that are interested in hosting collaborative activities. The ideal lead organization will be engaged in work relating to girls in STEM and can fit the collaborative activities into existing job roles and organizational events.     Beginning in Fall 2007, the NGCP will offer webcasts which focus on issues related to girls and informal science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning.     Robotic Day Camps
    Offered various weeks this July in Vancouver WA, Gresham OR, Portland OR. Participants are part of all-girl teams and learn about the basic principles of engineering and computer programming. They cooperate to design, build and program a robot.

    Portland OR, August 6-10. Learn the basics of line drawings, landscapes and abstract art, then, build and program a robot to create your own high-tech masterpiece!

    Dragonfly Science Camp for Girls
    Grades 4-6 hosted by AWSEM, August 6-10, 9:00- 4:00, Portland State University. Share in the excitement of scientific discovery as you conduct investigations in chemistry, the human body, astronomy, engineering, earth science, biology and technology. Activities take place in the classroom, outdoors and on field trips.

    Cougar Quest Academic Summer Camps
    Washington State University Pullman campus, Grades 7-12. Taught by WSU professors, workshops offered include Lego Mindstorm Robots, Batty about Bats, Culinary Arts, Alien Quest and many more. Through interactive activities and the use of top of the line technology and techniques, students get to experience an amazing summer of learning. Here, learning is a combination of fun and exploration.

    Inventing A New Way To Learn!
    Camp Invention at Washington State University week-long summer day experience for children grades 1-6, July 9-13. Participants will attend five age-appropriate modules each day, such as, I Can Invent, Problem Solving on Planet ZAK, Imagination Point Ride Physics, Spills & Chills, and the AMAZing Games module.
