Overview

The Northwest Girls Collaborative Project (NWGCP) brings together organizations in Washington and Oregon that are committed to informing and motivating girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Access the Program Directory to view the nearly 100 organizations and their programs, or to register your own organization. The Program Directory is where programs post their needs, advertise their resources, and list contact information in order to foster further collaboration among organizations to encourage girls to embrace STEM activities, courses and careers.

The NWGCP Replication Guide is a complete manual with tips and tools on how to replicate the Northwest Girls Collaborative Project model. Visit the Resources section for more information.

Many organizations are part of the NWGCP Program Directory, working together on collaborative projects that encourage more girls to enter STEM fields. Organizations listed in the Program Directory were eligible to apply for a $1,000 mini-grant to use in support of a collaborative project. Many of these projects were highlighted on February 28, 2004 during the culminating conference at Microsoft.

Check out the Features section to see model projects and current information regarding gender equity.

The e-newsletter, the MatchMakers Program, the virtual conference, and resource tools support and develop project initiatives.
