What Are Some Models?
Much of the time, coaches will work one-on-one to help other teachers build new skills and knowledge they can apply in the classroom, but some models call for coaches working with several teachers to promote a community of learners at a school. Mentors roles and responsibilities will vary from school to school depending on the local resources available for additional release time and resources beyond those provided by the Challenge Grant.

Our goal is to provide schools and districts with various models to use to define their own program. These models describe what types of results schools or districts might expect based on their commitment of time and resources. The models might include full time mentoring, half time coaches, part time coaches shared by schools, or full or part time coaching resources shared by more than one person at a school.
