The T2CI program is designed to provide teacher leaders with the skills they need to help other teachers in their schools to integrate technology. The program starts by helping coaches understand how peer coaching fits into a new model of professional development and professional learning communities as defined by the National Staff Development Council, Michael Fullan and others.
Participants' first activities in this program are to link their coaching program to their schools’ educational improvement plans, to define who they work with and how that work will help reach their schools’ goals. They work to define their roles and responsibilities as a coach for themselves, and learn how to communicate this with their school staff.

The coaching cycle represented also reflects the Coaching Academy activities. Program goals and activities are designed to help coaches develop the skills needed to assist teachers with any stage of designing, implementing or assessing a technology-rich, standards-based project.
