TechREACH

Mentors/Overview

One of the ways TechREACH supports student interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) is through role models. TechREACH provides clubs with Guest Speakers from our cadre of mentors who visit clubs to talk about their careers and encourage student interest. Students have the opportunity to learn from more than one mentor through the delivery of these career talks, as well as hands-on activities and field trips. In addition to Guest Speakers, each TechREACH club has a Champion who identifies resources to support club activities and helps identify and organize field trip opportunities.

TechREACH Guest Speakers and Champions work in professional careers such as software development, information technology, banking, insurance, biomedical research, environmental science, engineering, and government. Our mentors work for a variety of employers including Boeing, the Washington State Department of Ecology, Microsoft, Expedia, CH2M HILL,  the Federal Aviation Administration, Weyerhaeuser, T-Mobile, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and many others.
