TechREACH
Program Info/Ways to Help

TechREACH needs your help! We have a variety of involvement opportunities, which include the following:

Volunteer Opportunities

Guest Speaker: Sign up to be a Guest Speaker and give a career talk presentation to TechREACH middle school students, sharing your experience working in the field of science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM). Contact the TechREACH Program Coordinator for more information.

Club Champion: Sign up to be a TechREACH Club Champion and help identify resources to support club activities and organize field trip opportunities. Contact the TechREACH Program Coordinator for more information.

Field Trips: Host a field trip at your workplace. Talk to a group of TechREACH students about the type of jobs people at your workplace do. Or offer to chaperone a field trip to another location. Contact the TechREACH Program Coordinator for more information.

Partner

If your organization can help TechREACH support students’ interests in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM), or support their well-being and leadership skills, we would like to talk to you! Contact Karen Manuel to tell us about your organization’s work.

Funding or In-Kind Donations

We are looking for additional funding and equipment to support our TechREACH clubs. Here is a sample of what we need:

  • Technology equipment: computers, digital cameras, video cameras, printers, and software such as Microsoft Front Page, Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver, and Adobe Photoshop Elements
  • Science equipment: probeware, microscopes, and chemistry equipment
  • Funding for field trip transportation
  • After school snacks and student incentives
  • Club sponsorship

TechREACH publishes names of program donors on the program Web site and printed materials. TechREACH is a program of the Puget Sound Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology, which is a non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

Contact Karen Manuel if you are interested in helping!
