K-12 Projects
- Edmonds School District:
Grant funds were used to pay district instructors to provide professional development for professional-technical teachers in: Animation, Networking Essentials, and Multimedia. - Mukilteo School District:
Grant funds were used to support teacher participation in: Cisco Certification, MOUS certification, Photoshop, Visual Basic, and Animation. - Seattle School
District:
Provided funds for instructors to teach: A+ and Networking at the Puget Sound Center labs during Summer 2002 to school district recruited teachers. Two elementary schools will began a mentoring program for teachers in Fall 2001. - Shoreline School District:
North City Elementary School was chosen as the district’s model school for technology infusion throughout the grade levels. Paul Witzel was the master teacher for this project, released part-time to assist other teachers with specific technology integration projects.
The HT3P partnered with the Mukilteo and Edmonds School districts to bring
the Intel Teach to the Future program to teachers in these two districts.
Master teacher training has been completed and each master teacher trained
40 teachers at the district or Puget Sound Center labs in 2002 and 2003.
The Puget Sound Center is proud to be partnering with the Teach the Teachers program offered by the Alliance for Education during the summer at Western Washington University. Fall and Spring follow-up sessions will be at the Puget Sound Center. HT3P will provide leadership in the development of a mentoring track.
Microsoft Office Specialist Project in partnership with National Workforce Center for Emerging Technologies (NWCET) and Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Training for K-12 teachers to become Microsoft Office Specialists occurred in 2002 around the state and at Puget Sound Center labs.
